As part of the ongoing efforts to ensure sustainability and accountability in community water projects, representatives of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints conducted a monitoring visit to Mabudi, Dadin Kowa, and Garkawa communities. During the Visit a joint meeting was held with community leaders, WASHCOMs, Village Health Promoters (VHPs), artisans, LGA representatives, and the funder’s team led by Mr. Isaac Mensa and Mr. Chidi.

The discussions centered on reviewing achievements so far, clarifying roles, and strengthening sustainability plans for the community water facilities. The team visited project sites in the three communities to assess progress and interact directly with beneficiaries. The visits provided an opportunity to review the functionality of the facilities and to reaffirm the commitment of all stakeholders to long-term maintenance and community ownership.

The monitoring visit reinforced the importance of partnership, accountability, and continuous community engagement in sustaining safe water facilities. The presence of the funder’s representatives further strengthened collaboration and ensured that the project is on track to deliver lasting impact for the communities.
